Edmonton fun!

Once again Edmonton played perfect host to the band as we visited to play 2 shows: one to a very full and enthusiastic ( thanks Matt, Frank, Jess and Mel and friends!) crowd at O'Byrnes Irish Pub, and the second at the Celtic Festival at a very beautiful Hawrelak Park. The weather for the festival was perfect, the Keith's was cold, and the band had a great set! Our thanks to the super sound technicians and set-up crew. We would be remiss if we did not send special thanks to Spencer Murray and Lauren Handerek for shuttling us all over town on a moment's notice, and to Michael Purcell and all the Edmonton Celtic Festival staff. This is a great event to play!

Paul Mills was presented the 2009 Helen Verger Award at the 2009 Ottawa Folk Festival. Sarah Burnell presented Paul with this life-time achievement award, accompanied by the Sarah Burnell Band.

Young Performers In St. John's
Sarah fiddled up a storm at Erin's Pub in St. John's on Saturday night! The event was a ceilidh hosted by the local Traditional Music group, in honour of the visiting CFMA nominees.
